RAYDER ( Association of Rail Transport Systems) is a civil society organization founded to carry out the technical and social works as well as to organize training courses for developing the railway sector in our Country. To this aim, by following the innovative rail system technologies in the world, it carries out the works to adopt them in our country. Recently, railways have become more important both in the world and in our country.

In Turkey, the development of the railways has been adopted as the most significant transport policy of the new Government. Furthermore, reaching the share of rail freight to 15% in 2023 has been determined as Government policy. In Turkey it is expected to make investment of dolar 50 Billion in the high speed lines, Marmaray project and metro and tramway projects of our Metropol Municipalities within the next 14 years.

Metro, LRT or tramway vehicles are used in urban public transport services in our 8 cities (( İstanbul, Ankara, İzmir, Bursa, Eskişehir, Konya, Kayseri, Antalya). Rail system project and investment Works are going on in our other 12 cities.

• RAYDER is collaboration with the railway industrialists in order to develop the railway industry
• RAYDER is preparing a ”Railway Industrial Catalogue” introducing the railway industrialist and the subsidiary industry.
• RAYDER has been participating in the exhibition of “INNOTRANS, Berlin” which is the largest exhibition in the world, for years and has been organizing the participation of a lot of Turkish companies therein.
• RAYDER carries out the works in collaboration with the civil society organizations such as UITP (International Association of Public Transport), UNIFE (The Association of the European Rail Industry)
• RAYDER carries out works in order to establish a General Directorate of Urban Rail Systems within the Ministry of Transportation.
• We support the works for producing METRO and TRAMWAY vehicles locally.
• Our works for establishing a Research-Development center for rail systems and test line in Eskişehir, are going on.
• Our works are going on for opening a Department of Rail Systems in our universities.
• RAYDER supports rail system departments of recently opened Industrial Vocational High Schools.
• RAYDER aims at ensuring local and foreign private sector companies to invest to the railways much more and creating a sectoral synergy by railway industry cumulation.
• Issuing a new railway law and liberalization will grant a new acceleration to the private sector.

In order to develop railways, we need to develop firstly railway infrastructure, railway subsidiary industry and production of the railway vehicles and we also need to meet the railway demands which is to increase.
The burst of developing and promoting the rail systems has started in Turkey.
The railway burst started in Turkey attracts the companies in Europe as well.
